Basic Principles of Organic Farming

• Protecting the organic matter content and the fertility of soil,
• Increasing the soil fertility by crop rotation, green manuring, and organic matter instead of synthetic fertilizers,
• Selection of healthy and hardy seeds and cultivars,
• Application of right planting methods and timing,
• Increasing plant resistance, using organic based preparations in pest and disease management,
• Using crop rotation, mechanical weeding in weed management with consideration of the morphological features of plants
• Harvesting, storing, and distribution of products in accordance with the organic regulations
• Application of organic principles     



In Animal Husbandry:

 

 

• Production of healthy animals,

• Right living conditions for animals,

• Production of fodder within the business and use of organic fodder,

• Compliance to organic regulations in selection of breeds and races.
