Mission of the Association:
- To promote, advocate, and disperse organic farming, and to support the scientific research on organic farming;
- To organize and support activities between the people, organizations and associations involved in technical and commercial areas of organic farming; and to help in the development of professional areas in organic farming;
|
|
- To establish strong connections with universities, research institutes and similar establishments for possible partnerships and any cooperation; to strive in development of both local and international markets; to enable healthy growth of the established markets;
- To help the organization of certification and control steps; to assure the controlled use of the logo of the association in local and international markets.
- To assist in the communication between the local or international expert bodies and the farmers towards the solution of problems associated with the production, management and marketing of organic products; to analyze, to write reports and to inform the public on such problems.

UNDP/PFF in cooperation with “Organic Farming and Life Association (ORYAT)” is organizing a series of activities within the framework of the Turkish-Cypriot organic farming week between 2 and 4 July 2007. The Turkish Cypriot organic farming week is organized to create awareness within Turkish Cypriot Community about organic farming. Please find below the program of the week.
